Once again, a new website is launched and the SEO expectations are tenuous. The website is Reay Solutions – Virtual Assistant. The site owner is already questioning the Title Tag. The Title reads as follows, ‘Virtual Assistant Virtual Support Virtual Assistance Virtual Solutions VA Reay Solutions’. ‘It’s repeating’ she said. Yes, well I had to explain that those are Keywords and the target is ‘Virtual’ services. When you plug the URL into a Meta Tag Analyzer, it says the Title is too long. I say yes, it is long, but the Keywords in the Title are in the Content, so in that regard we are ok, that’s my ‘rule of thumb. And my ‘rule of thumb’ was gained by following a self proclaimed ‘marketing pro’ at the SEO Forum I participate in. I have followed his work, and his Metas are jammed with Keywords. He claims that it is not keyword stuffing is words are in the Content. The Content of this project is good I believe is good, Keyword Density is good without reading ‘spammy’. The Key Phrases are relatively competitive so I’m hoping the good Content will help its SERP. I got the owner, and myself splashing the link around the net, and am hoping in 2 weeks we’ll start to show up.
The owner has another website with failed SEO, so I want to show her how it works. Her other website has excellent ‘off page SEO’, but poor ‘on page SEO’. It’s loaded with backlinks, but the Content is poo, and so are the Metas. ‘Feast or Famine’, we shall see, she will see, I will see, but will the Search Engines see? Godspeed, I can only hope for the best.
